To shortlist and select the final 40 examples of best practice in adtech, R3 used a select group of marketers along with our internal consulting teams, scoring each submission on four areas:

  • Proven on Big Brands
    Adtech that has been trialed or used by Fortune 100 companies was ranked more highly.
  • Proven on Innovation
    Judges assessed the ‘game-changing’ nature of the technology, and its ability to drive engagement and preference.
  • Proven on Recognition
    We looked to ideas that have been well recognized, either in trade press or with the investment community. In short, ‘buzz’.
  • Proven Results
    Where there are marketing and business results available, this was a key part of the final shortlist.
